Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)

Alok Kejriwal has a track record in civic engagement and social responsibility over the years, including promoting the advancement of the Deaf community by leading efforts to educate society about the challenges faced by Deaf people in India and creating opportunities for their economic and social empowerment.

His contributions to the cause include a presentation on “Deaf Entrepreneurs Emerging in Third World Countries” in Washington DC, USA in 2002. In December 2005, the Deaf Professional Network Newsletter published a feature article about Alok titled “Running a Successful Business in Third World”.

He was appointed a committee member of Pt. Deendayal Upadhyaya Institute for the Physically Handicapped under the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India. He also served as the Chairman of India Deaf Expo at Coimbatore in 2007, Patron of the Deaf Expo at Delhi in 2010, and Chairman of the Deaf Expo at Mumbai in 2012.

He has successfully presented at the 6th National Deaf Conference in New Delhi on February 2016 organized by the National Association for the Deaf (NAD), presentation titled ‘Deaf can do’. Also, presented at Techshare India March 2016 in New Delhi, presentation titled ‘Deaf Access Technology’.

He continues to be actively involved in promoting equal access for the Deaf community in India through appropriate educational opportunities and support services which would enable them to become productive and financially independent.
